BRAZILIAN PREMIERE AT NOSSA SENHORA DE FÁTIMA/MANAUS

OCTOBER 2022

The Brazilian premiere happened for free in front of Uyra's mother's house, who lives in Nossa Senhora de Fátima, a suburb of Manaus, where around 16 thousand people live. The event featured a ball pit for children, both salty and sweet popcorn, DJ Balaclava (a character from the film), local producers and community agitators who are friends of Uyra. With a large screen and chairs for about 150-200 people, we screened the film on the same street where it was filmed. We invited local journalists who said they had never seen a cultural event in the area since its inception 25 years ago. In addition, the promotion, a week before the event, included a sound truck announcing the event, posters in bars and supermarkets, and flyers distributed throughout the community.
